Robert “Duke” Lombardo 1/21/2013 Londonderry, NH

Robert “Duke” Lombardo, 80, of Londonderry, NH, died Monday, January 21, 2013, at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 11, 1932 in Waltham, MA, a son of the late Phillip and Rose (Rizzo) Lombardo. Mr. Lombardo proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post #2152 in Waltham, MA where he had also worked as a bartender. He was employed by P.E. Burke Moving Co. in Waltham, MA until his retirement in 1999. Duke enjoyed his time spent socializing over his morning coffee at Dunkin Donuts in Salem, NH. He is survived by one son, Robert Lombardo of Londonderry, NH, three daughters, Marjorie “Margie” Vecchione and her husband Ken of Londonderry, Martha Lombardo, of Londonderry, and Maria Aucoin and her husband Stephen of Port St. Lucie, FL, the mother of his children, Eleanor (Dutton) Lombardo of Londonderry, three grandchildren, Keith, Colleen and Michelle, one sister, Mary Mazzeo of Waltham, MA, and one brother, Phillip Lombardo of Waltham, MA. He was predeceased by one brother, Charles Lombardo. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Following cremation, burial will be on Monday January 28th at 10:00am in the chapel at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy., Boscawen, NH.
